Programs

Neighbors In Need serves 600 families per week in food pantries throughout Lawrence and Methuen. The Infant in Need Program provides baby formula and diapers for at-risk children. The Holiday Meal Program provides holiday meals and gifts. Neighbors In Need distributes clothing and household items donated by individuals, schools and local corporations.

Food is distributed at seven Food Pantries strategically located throughout the neighborhoods of Lawrence and Methuen. Last year Neighbors In Need distributed over 500,000 meals. We provided food to 3,000 families and 10,000 individuals. Almost half of these individuals were children under the age of 18 and 16% were elders.

Through the Holiday Meal program at Thanksgiving and Christmas, donor families provided a complete holiday dinner with all the fixings to more than 2,100 families last year.

The Infants In Need program provides formula, diapers and other baby products to over 500 mothers and caregivers of infants and toddlers annually. In 2014, we distributed 10,000 diapers and 800 cans of formula. Formula and diapers are available at 276 Essex Street, Lawrence MA. Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm.

The Clothes Bin Program receives donations of clothing and distributes them to pantry guests, homeless shelters, nursing homes, social service providers and day care centers. Last year we delivered over 300 bags of clothing.
