The Neighbors In Need staff provides an organizational framework within which over 900 volunteers work effectively. The paid staff provides stability and continuity for what is essentially a volunteer social service agency. In 2014, the agency was gifted with over 10,300 hours of volunteer support. Volunteers sustain the agency and perform nearly 40% of our work. Volunteers operate our pantries, assist with food drives, sort clothing, provide office support, design and technology services, help with mailings and operate our Infants In Need and Clothes Bin programs.

There is always work to do and YOU are welcome to volunteer as you are able. If you are interested in bringing a volunteer group, please contact us and we will set up a date.

We are currently looking to fill the following volunteer positions:

  • Panera Bread Pick-Up: Volunteer(s) needed to pick up donated bread from North Andover Panera on Tuesday and Thursday (9:30-10 p.m.) and deliver it to NIN Warehouse Friday morning.
  • Food Delivery: Volunteers needed to deliver food to house-bound or disabled clients who are unable to get to a food pantry. Prefer team(s) of tow. Needed once per month or more (up to once per week).
  • To volunteer, call Lisa Smith at 978 685-8321 or email at Lisa@NeedFood.org.
