The Neighbors In Need staff provides an organizational framework within which over 900 volunteers work effectively. The paid staff provides stability and continuity for what is essentially a volunteer social service agency. In 2016, the agency was gifted over 10,300 hours of volunteer support. Volunteers sustain the agency and perform nearly 40% of our work. Volunteers operate our pantries, assist with food drives, sort clothing, provide office support, help with mailings and operate our Infants In Need and Clothes Bin programs.

We are currently looking to fill the following volunteer position:

    Clothing Bin/Infants in Need Volunteer: Looking for volunteers to staff our front desk and serve our clients needing baby supplies and clothing during the hours of 9 a.m. and noon, Monday-Friday at our new Island Street office. May also include referring clients to other appropriate resources and helping to stock and straighten our clothing closet and diaper drawers. Ability to speak and understand some Spanish is helpful but not necessary.
